Dear Oyuki,

Sorry I haven't written in a while, but things have been kind of hectic here lately.

First off, someone decided to poison the duke and duchess's Beltaine Feast, and everyone got really sick. Luckily, Lady Althea, Sir Ciaran, and my Mom were able to mix up an antidote, so it was a lot better than it could have been, I guess.

Kieran and I were okay; we decided to spend the time we were supposed to be serving dinner having fun. Yeah, I know, but don't tell anyone, okay? After all, it was the first Beltaine where we could stay up all night, instead of being put to bed like last year, or any of the years before that.

Well, anyways, Robur found me and Kieran in the bushes. We were really worried that we'd been caught, but then Robur said that I needed to bring Aoife to where the rest of the people were eating dinner. It turned out that Lady Sakura of Eiluned's chimera was sick from eating all the ketchup, and that Princess Niamh had told her that Aoife's horn could heal it. Well, luckily it only took a touch from Aoife's horn and that little yellow mouse-rabbit thing was up and around again...though I don't think it'll ever want to eat ketchup again.

Kellin got really upset ‘cause everyone seemed to think that Lady Raven was responsible for the poisoning. I don't think she did it, either -- she seemed so nice that night we were all at The Green Man. Besides, Lady Miria says she's telling the truth when she says she's innocent, and that's good enough for me.

Kieran was really mad when he came back to his room a little later. It turns out that that snotty Eiluned Lady Sakura stole the letter he wrote to his aunt, and then had the gall to mouth off to him! I was so mad, I could spit! See if I ever help her again!

Sorry...I didn't mean to get upset there. It's just that I like Kieran a whole lot, and well...you know. Maybe if you come to Virginia again to visit Lady Miria, I can introduce you to him. What do you think?

Well, the end of the page is approaching, and I'm supposed to be asleep ‘cause I have school tomorrow, so I'll stop here. Write back soon, okay?

Your friend,
Ceilidh
